An exhibition and auction of photographs in Hanoi next week will raise funds to support Nu, a child victim of Agent Orange who is autistic and has visual, hearing, and speech impairments.

Last year Vietnam Friendship Village, a charity centre that houses orphans, older people, Agent Orange child victims, returned Nu to her grandparents’ care due to lack of funds.
The proceeds from auctioning the photos at “For a child in isolation” will be used to establish a fund to send Nu back to the centre.
The photos are by Justin Mott, a Hanoi-based photographer who has documented Nu’s life for the last five years.
His noted works include “Legacy of Horror” depicting Vietnamese Agent Orange orphans at the Ba Vi Child Care Centre, “Addiction in Cambodia,” and several others that have published on the New York Times, Newsweek, TIME, and Forbes.
“For a child in isolation” will be held at Southgate Restaurant, 28 Tong Duy Tan, Hanoi at 4pm beginning May 15.
The minimum donation is VND300,000 (USD14).
