HCM City park covered with rubbish after Lunar New Year's Eve
The Bach Dang Wharf Park in HCM City's District 1 was covered in rubbish after thousands of people gathered to watch a firework show on the Lunar New Year's Eve on Friday.
Most people brought food and drinks to the area while waiting for the performance.
Leftover food, bottles and plastic bags were left on the street after the show.
A large area around the park stretching from the Saigon River to Nguyen Hue and Ton Duc Thang streets was covered with rubbish.
A resident living near the park, Nguyen My, said that she was shocked to see the huge amount of rubbish left by people.
"Many visitors just ignored local environment protection regulations," she said.
