British University to take shape in Hung Yen

British University Vietnam (BUV) will take shape in Ecopark township in the northern Hung Yen province’s Van Giang district.


 

Jesses Boone, BUV General Director has announced the plan to build the university during the recent meeting with the provincial leaders in Ecopark Township.

Under the plan, the university will encompass has a total area of 6.5 hectares, a total investment of more than US$70 million. The facility aims to train high quality human resources at both undergraduate and graduate levels.

The project is divided into three phases. The initial phase at a total cost of more than US$20 million, will kick off on May 25, 2015 and is expected to be completed in 2017, while expecting to and recruit some 1,200 students.

Upon completion, the university will admit and train between 7,000 and 8,000 students.

To ensure the success of the project, Mr Jesse Boone asked Hung Yen to simplify administrative formalities such as land use rights and construction permits.

The provincial leaders welcomed the BUV to select Hung Yen as an investment destination and promised to create the most favorable conditions to finalise the project on scheduled in order to attract human resources to the province and the region.
