The complex of Hue monuments – a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site – is set to open with free admission for domestic visitors during the upcoming National Day on September 2, according to details given by the Hue Monuments Conservation Center.

According to the plan, free entrance will be offered to domestic visitors at relic sites belonging to the Hue Monuments Complex such as Hue ancient citadel, the majestic tombs of King Gia Long, Minh Mang, Tu Duc, Thieu Tri, Dong Khanh Mausoleum, An Dinh Palace, Hon Chen Palace, and the Hue Museum of Royal Antiquities.

The opening hours for guests will be from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on September 2. The Hue Monuments Conservation Center asks that visitors bring their citizen identification cards when entering the Hue relic site.

In a bid to attract tourists to the ancient capital, the Thua Thien Hue province’s tourism industry has launched diverse activities aimed at stimulating tourism demand under the framework of the Hue Festival 2023, which was designed as a four-season festival.

These festive activities are expected to attract a large number of domestic and international tourists, thereby contributing to the overall recovery of the local tourism industry after being heavily impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Le Cong Son, deputy director of the Hue Monuments Conservation Center, revealed that security forces have been arranged to ensure social order remains stable to serve a large number of visitors during the upcoming national holiday.

Simultaneously, a range of service types will be deployed as part of the occasion, including virtual reality experience and royal costume in order to provide tourists with exciting experiences when visiting Hue heritage sites.
