A CAAV representative indicated that the primary reasons behind the flight delays were late arrivals of aircraft, causing 15.6% of delays, and airline-related issues, causing 7.6% of delays.
Vietnam Airlines operated a total of 76,008 flights, followed by VietJet Air with 75,478 flights, and Bamboo Airways with 9,908 flights.
During this period, the number flights which took off on time accounted for 74%. The national flag carrier was also the airline to record the highest on-time rate of 83%, followed by Bamboo Airways with 82.6%.
Vietnamese airlines transported a total of five million passengers over the past eight months, down 3.8% compared to last month. Of the figure, the number of international passengers reached 1.5 million, up 2.3%, while the number of domestic passengers hit 3.4 million, down 6.3%.
