A worker at a gathering at the company's headquarters in Hoa Khanh Industrial Zone on April 1, said that the company's slow payment started in September 2023.

"We went on strike in November last year to ask for salaries and insurance payment and the managers then paid us," the worker said. "But they've continued to delay salary payments since last December. And when the company ceased operations in February, we've not yet received our unemployment and insurance benefits."

A Danang Hi-tech Park and Industrial Zones Authority representative said they were preparing documents to assist workers in their lawsuit against the Hoa Khanh-Da Nang Textile Joint Stock Company.

"We've so far received 89 letters of complaints from workers at the company," the authority said.

The Hoa Khanh-Da Nang Textile Joint Stock Company was fined VND180 million last December by the municipal people's committee for slow labour insurance payments.
