Blackpink will perform at My Dinh National Stadium on July 29-30.

Director of the Hanoi Tourism Department, Dang Huong Giang said "We've been trying to introduce and promote the image of Hanoi through such events to attract international tourists."

A survey from the department showed that after ticket sales opened, booking site Agoda saw a seven-fold rise in searches for accommodation in Hanoi against last month's figures.

It is reported that Thailand's tourism sector earned between USD20-30 million from flight tickets, hotel bookings, and shopping during the five days before and after Blackpink concerts earlier this year. Neighbouring Singapore also made over USD35 million from the same event, the department said.

"We hope that this show will also attract more tourists to Hanoi and bring good revenues," the official said. "Event tourism has grown worldwide. Thanks to our convenient location, we'll be able to design package tours which include show tickets, transportation, hotels and food."

The department expects that tourists visits to Hanoi will increase 20 percent with international tourist numbers rising by 15 percent in July and early August, and revenues by 15 percent against June.
