The regulation has been applied from July 1. This regulation will be applied to people from cities and provinces with Covid-19 outbreaks even if their neighbourhood and residential areas are not under lockdown.

People who want to go to Lao Cai must have had a first Covid-19 vaccine shot for at least 14 days or be fully vaccinated. They can also visit Lao Cai if they have tested negative for Covid-19 Coronavirus with a Real-Time PCR Kit at least five days before visiting.

People without such papers will be given a paid quick test at the province's checkpoints.

People who are not from outbreak areas will only have their body temperature taken and have to fill in medical declaration forms. Those who are from lockdown areas will be quarantined for 21 days at Lao Cai.
