The house, located in the outlying district of Quoc Oai’s Phu Man Commune, has been occupied for over a year.

The house collapsed on Wednesday morning
The incident happened around 4 am when seven people were asleep in the house. They suddenly woke up after hearing shaking sounds, and plaster from the walls began to fall. They dashed out of the house, which collapsed just a few minutes later.
Over the past two days, many localities in the northern region of Vietnam have faced torrential rain. In Hanoi, many areas were severely submerged, including the districts of Thanh Tri, Quoc Oai, Dong Anh and Ha Dong.
Rain has been forecasted to continue hitting Hanoi today, with inundation warnings for low areas.
