Phu Bich Van, the owner of a boat and ferry ticket agency in Phu Quoc, said that the demand is very high, particularly for the Rach Gia-Phu Quoc route. Many customers prefer to go directly from Rach Gia to Phu Quoc or vice versa rather than taking the longer route via Ha Tien, Van specified.
Meanwhile, the Nam Du-Rach Gia boat and ferry services are still being halted due to bad weather.
Earlier, these routes were suspended as many southern regions of Vietnam faced strong wind and torrential rain due to the impact of Typhoon Yagi, including Kien Giang Province.
Heavy rain has caused many areas in Phu Quoc to be seriously flooded.
