Troops from Russia, Laos and Cambodia, who are in Vietnam to take part in the September 2 National Day parade, visited the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and the Vietnam People’s Army’s weapons and equipment exhibition in Hanoi on August 31.

The Russian contingent, with more than 30 servicemen, along with delegations from the Lao People’s Army and the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces, paid tribute at the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum before touring the Ministry of National Defence’s exhibition at the Vietnam Exposition Centre in Dong Anh Ward.

Covering nearly 23,560 square metres, the outdoor display featured modern weapons and military equipment, including T-90S tanks, Scub-B missiles, S-125-VT missile systems, Truong Son missile complexes and unmanned aerial vehicles. The exhibition also included an extensive indoor section showcasing the achievements of the defence sector over the past 80 years.

Officials from the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defence introduced the weaponry and equipment to the foreign troops, who were warmly welcomed by local visitors attending the exhibition.

At this year’s National Day parade, more than 120 Lao and 120 Cambodian servicemen will march alongside Vietnamese troops, underscoring the solidarity and friendship between Vietnam and its traditional partners.
