As many as 80 couples will partake in a mass wedding ceremony as part of Vietnam Happy Fest 2025 taking place along Hoan Kiem Lake walking street in Hanoi from December 5 to 7, aiming to spread the message of love, faith and happiness in life today.

At a press briefing in Hanoi on November 27, Pham Anh Tuan, Director of the Department of Grassroots and External Information under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism said the special wedding ceremony is not only a community celebration but also a “journey to discover happiness,” where participants can revisit family memories, share loving moments, and feel a sacred connection among people.

This year's Vietnam Happy Fest will consist of 13 activities along Le Thai To - Hang Khay - Dinh Tien Hoang streets - Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc Square, offering a multi-generational perspective on happiness. Highlights include a photo exhibition on Happy Vietnam, a digital interactive space, an art photobooth, and a family health programme.

At the King Ly Thai To Monument area, a Happiness Tree will serve as a special space for locals and tourists to send wishes, express gratitude, and share reflections on happiness. In addition, 80,000 souvenir gifts will be distributed to visitors.

The opening ceremony is scheduled for December 6 at Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc Square, with participation from leaders of ministries, departments, and relevant agencies.

Other notable activities include the Happy Vietnam 2025 awards which will honour the most inspiring photos and videos capturing Vietnamese happiness.

There will also be a workshop themed the prism of happiness on December 6-7, alongside a parade of Vietnamese costumes attracting 800 people through Hanoi’s Old Quarter. The festival will conclude with a music gala on December 7, featuring young artists such as Bui Cong Nam and Lam Bao Ngoc, open to the public free of charge.
