Vietnam’s striker Huynh Kesley from Becamex Binh Duong won the Vietnam’s golden shoes award for the 2009 season at a ceremony held in Ho Chi Minh City on January 21.
With a total of 17 goals in the Asian AFC Cup, V-League and Vietnam National Cup, Kesley received 57 points, followed by Lam Son-Thanh Hoa FC’s striker Hoang Dinh Tung with 16 goals and midfielder Nguyen Vu Phong from Becamex Binh Duong FC with 15 goals.
The golden shoes winner will be awarded VND15 million, the first runner-up VND12 million and the second runner-up VND10 million. They also received a number of pairs of shoes worth US$1,000.
