A one-year-old child in the northern midland province of Phu Tho is in need of help after losing his father to traffic accident and mother is now in critical condition in hospital.

The traffic accident killed the boy’s father Ngo Duy Lan, who was 23, and left his mother, Trinh Thi Chuc, 24, with serious injuries to her left leg. She is now staying at Hospital 198 in Hanoi awaiting surgery.
Doctors have not yet informed her of her husband's death to avoid her going into shock. Even though she asks each of her visitors about her husband's condition, she is told by each of them that he has been taken to another hospital and is in recovery.
The accident occurred after the husband decided to leave home to look for work in Hanoi to support his family. He succeeded in finding a job with a gas company where he was paid VND3 million per month. He then decided to take his wife to the capital so she could find a job as well. They left their one-year-old son at home for his grandparents to take care of.
Mrs. Chuc is staying at the hospital to wait for a surgery
It was on their way to Hanoi that they got into the fatal traffic accident. The boy is still too young to understand his precarious position in the world.
“After the accident, the family tried to borrow money from anybody they could so they could send Chuc to hospital and hold a funeral for her husband,” said Chuc’s sister.
She added that doctors said Chuc's hospital treatment is expected to take quite a lot of time, and her recovery would be costly. But the family is out of credit sources.
Doctor Vu Van Vinh, Chuc’s injuries are very serious and she does not have health insurance.
