The classroom block has now been largely completed. Contractors are laying floor and entrance tiles, finishing two toilet blocks, paving the schoolyard and carrying out a final clean-up of the site.
Construction has been hampered by persistent rain, with muddy roads disrupting material deliveries and slowing progress.

"Continuous heavy rain made the road into the village extremely difficult, affecting both material deliveries and construction work," said Bui Huu Thuy, who oversees the construction team.
"Now that the weather has improved, we're cleaning up the entire site, working with local residents to tidy the school grounds, while completing the floor tiling and the remaining items," he added.
According to Thuy, the construction team is working at full capacity to make up for lost time and complete the project as soon as possible.
Hoang Dang Kieu, representing the contractor, said the team had remained on site despite prolonged unfavourable weather, making use of every dry day to continue construction.
"Heavy rain has delayed the project, but we're working to complete the remaining work and hand it over in early August," Kieu said.
Nguyen Anh Doai, Secretary of the My Ly Commune Party Committee, said the new classrooms hold special significance for the community, where educational facilities remain limited.
According to Doai, storms, floods and landslides repeatedly delayed construction over the past year, hampering material deliveries to the remote village. "We're delighted the project is nearing completion. Once the classrooms open, they will improve learning conditions and help keep children in school," Doai noted.
The classrooms are being built with funding donated by Dantri/DTiNews readers and philanthropists to improve learning conditions for children in one of the most disadvantaged border communities in My Ly Commune.
After months of construction under challenging weather conditions and difficult terrain, the project has entered its final phase and is expected to be completed in early August.
