Flights to Danang airport on Tet surge

Danang International Airport served 1,275 flights during the Tet Lunar New Year holiday, up 58 percent year-on-year.

On average, the airport welcomed 141 flights daily, including 64 international, during the Tet Holiday on January 25 and February 2.

The city welcomed two cruise ships transporting 1,800 American and British tourists during Tet.

During the Tet holiday, Danang served 469,000 visitors, up 16.7 percent, including 228,000 foreigners, up 29 percent year-on-year.

Some tourist destinations, including Sun World Ba Na Hills, Danang city centre, the Marble Mountains, Son Tra Peninsula, Mikazuki Water Park, and Nui Than Tai Hot Springs Park, saw a sharp rise in visitors.

Bach Dang Flower Street in Danang will last until May 1. This year, the city will hold many tourism promotion activities, focusing on Southeast Asia, Australia, India, and Northeast Asia.

The city plans to open new air routes to China, Australia, and India in 2025.
