The Hue City Economic and Industrial Zones Authority said it had summoned the investor behind the Minh Vien-Lang Co resort project, located in Chan May-Lang Co Commune, to commit to a revised construction timetable.
Authorities said they would review and handle the delayed project in accordance with regulations if the investor was unable to continue with the development.

Construction resumed in June 2025 after being suspended for several years. However, officials said monitoring showed that work had stopped again in March this year, with construction workers leaving the site.
The Minh Vien-Lang Co International Resort is located on the beachfront of Lang Co Bay, one of the world's most scenic bays.
The project received its initial investment registration certificate in 2015, followed by a second amendment in 2018. It covers an area of 102 hectares.
Construction began in December 2018 and includes five star hotels, resort villas, a convention centre and supporting tourism facilities, with a total investment of USD 368 million.
Under the original schedule, the first phase was expected to open by the end of 2019, with the entire resort due for completion in the first quarter of 2024.
However, construction was delayed by compensation and land clearance issues. Work was suspended in 2020 and the site remained abandoned for several years following the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Earlier this year, Phan Quang Minh, chief executive of Minh Vien International Joint Stock Company, said the developer had prioritised renovating and completing a low rise hotel block with 100 rooms, six resort villas, commercial and restaurant facilities, while upgrading landscaping and purchasing equipment after restarting the project.
The company had initially aimed to partially open the first phase in the first quarter of 2026 before revising the target to the end of the year.
