According to the Ha Long Bay Management Board, since 1996, the bay has welcomed 57 million visitors, including 30.8 million foreigners, generating a total revenue of VND8.6 trillion from ticket sales

In the early years, annual revenue from Ha Long Bay ticket sales was only a few dozen billion VND because of low visitor numbers and ticket prices. After several price adjustments and a steady increase in visitors, revenue gradually surpassed VND1 trillion in the years before the Covid-19 pandemic.

During the Covid-19 pandemic, revenue sharply declined; however, in 2023, it rebounded to VND800 billion.

Daytime tickets for Ha Long Bay range from VND200,000 to VND250,000 per person, based on the route. Overnight tour tickets are priced between VND500,000 and VND750,000 per person, depending on the package.
