VND47.8 billion proposed for Binh Dinh martial arts park

Binh Dinh People's Committee have proposed a VND47.8 billion (USD1.88 million) upgrade and expansion of the Children's Park in Quy Nhon City to transform it into the Binh Dinh Martial Arts Park.

Some VND41.2 billion would be sourced from Quy Nhon City's budget, with the remainder from private sources.

Binh Dinh Martial Arts Park will cover around two hectares by the sea. The park's central area is terrazzo stone, featuring drum logo motifs.

The park will have an area for martial arts competitions, an administrative building, a stage for hosting events and an exhibition area.

The park's highlight will be statues depicting martial arts postures. In Area 1, some statues are three metres tall and feature 18 martial arts postures.

Area 2 will be home to statues 1.7 metres tall and made of composite materials. The statues will be placed near an area where martial arts attire and weapons can be rented.

The entire park will have cameras, Wi-Fi and other smart devices.

Binh Dinh is one of Vietnam's traditional martial arts hubs. The locality boasts hundreds of folk martial arts clubs with thousands of artisans.
