To Lam, General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) Central Committee and State President of Vietnam, along with his spouse, will be paying a State visit to China from August 18-20, according to a statement released on Thursday from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The visit is made at the invitation of the General Secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee & State President of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping, and his spouse.
This will mark To Lam's first overseas trip since he was elected General Secretary of the CPV earlier this month.
