The VEX Robotics World Championship 2026, or VEX World 2026, is the world’s largest school robotics competition, bringing together tens of thousands of students from 54 countries and territories.

In this year’s VEX IQ category, Vietnamese representatives not only maintained strong form in head-to-head matches but also demonstrated solid engineering thinking through specialist awards.

After coming through 10 tense qualifying matches amid fierce competition, with an average of 80 to 85 teams in each division, Vietnam had four of its seven teams finish in the top 20, securing places in the Alliance Finals.

Notably, three teams from Cau Giay Secondary School in Hanoi, Supernova, Ironbots and Venus, along with Whole Lotta Red from Brighton College Vietnam, showed impressive command of technology against international rivals.

The Vietnamese delegation also recorded other notable results, with SuperNova (20259E) and IronBots (68039V) finishing third in their divisions, while Venus (20259R) placed fourth. All three teams are from Cau Giay Secondary School in Hanoi.

The Vietnamese delegation also celebrated the success of Resilience (13863J), which won the Innovate Award. The prestigious prize recognises creative engineering design processes and an Engineering Notebook that meets international standards.

According to an organising committee representative, taking part in and achieving strong results at VEX World 2026 was not only a memorable milestone but also opened up opportunities for students to learn and engage internationally. It also reflects a sound approach to developing STEM education, helping prepare a high-quality workforce for the future.
