Vietnamese Ao Dai show at the most famous castle in the world

A collection of 100 unique Ao Dai (traditional long dress) samples from three Vietnamese designers will be showed at Chambord, the most ancient and famous castle in the world, France on September 7.

A collection of 100 unique Ao Dai (traditional long dress) samples from three Vietnamese designers will be showed at Chambord, the most ancient and famous castle in the world, France on September 7.

60 of them are titled “phoenix flying to the sun” by Minh Hanh using Vietnamese materials such as handmade lace, crocodile skin and embroidery contours.

Cong Khanh’s design is based on the architecture of Chambord castle while Trong Nguyen’s is based on the well-known paintings displayed at Chambord and castle mural’s motifs.

The show will involve Miss Ngoc Han, and models Hong Que, Kha My Van, Lam Thu Hang and Trang Pham from Vietnam and others from France.

This is one of cultural exchange activities to mark the France-Vietnam 2013-2014 France-Vietnam year.
