The General Assembly of the Asian- Oceanian Computing Industry Organization (ASOCIO) will be held in Vietnam from June 17 to June 20 this year, according to a report of the government website on Thursday.
The meeting is expected to draw participation of 60 high- ranking managers of information technology (IT) associations and businesses from ASOCIO's members.
According to the Vietnam Software Association (VINASA), this event provides an effective platform for members to share information, consolidate confidence, develop partnership, and seek new investment opportunities.
The general assembly is a unique chance for Vietnam to introduce potentials of its IT sector, particular software industry, as well as the outstanding achievements during the past years of renovation, said VINASA.
ASOCIO is a group of IT industry associations coming from economies in the Asia and Oceania region. ASOCIO was established in 1984 with the objective is to promote, encourage and foster relationships and trade between its members, and to develop the computing industry in the region.
Presently, ASOCIO members include more than 10,000 information and communication technologies companies in 21 countries and regions.
