Vietnam records eight more Covidi-19 cases at Hanoi hospital

Eight more Covid-19 patients were confirmed on Thursday morning at the National Hospital of Tropical Diseases in Hanoi which is being locked down.

Eight more Covid-19 patients were confirmed on Thursday morning at the National Hospital of Tropical Diseases in Hanoi which is being locked down.

The cases numbered from 3,023 to 3,030 are all patients who are being treated for other diseases at the hospital.

The National Hospital of Tropical Diseases in Dong Anh District is being put under lockdown due to a Covid-19 outbreak


The figure has raised the hospital’s total number of Covid-19 infection cases to 22 over the past two days.

The National Hospital of Tropical Diseases in the outlying district of Dong Anh, the northern region’s leading COVID-19 treatment facility, has been under lockdown from Wednesday. The lockdown will last until May 19.

Vietnam has to date recorded a total of 3,030 Covid-19 patients, including 35 deaths. Since April 27, the country has reported 64 locally-transmitted Covid-19 patients.

At present, around 40,736 people are being quarantined in Vietnam for Covid-19 prevention.

As of Wednesday, 675,956 people in Vietnam had been provided with Covid-19 vaccination.
