A high-level delegation from Vietnam’s Ministry of Public Security led by Minister Le Hong Anh met with Malaysia’s Minister of Home Affairs Hishammuddin Hussein and Deputy Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin on March 5 as part of its official visit to Malaysia.
The two sides appreciated the cooperation between the two ministries in the past and discussed issues related to transnational crime control and drug and human trafficking. They agreed to exchange regular visits between the two ministries to promote mutual understanding and cooperation in security, political issues, economics, culture and high technology.
The Malaysian Deputy PM praised Vietnam’s achievements last year, posting a positive growth rate despite many challenges, and expressed the hope that relations between Vietnam and Malaysia will grow and flourish in the future.
