The Defence Ministry announced on March 25 that final preparations are underway for the planning, monitoring and coordinating of collective training events that are part of third Vietnam-China Border Defence Friendship Exchange program.
The training exercises are set to transpire March 28-31 in both Lang Son and Guangxi provinces, said the Defence Ministry, under the joint command of General Phung Quang Thanh and Senior Lieutenant General Chang Wan Quan.

The new edition of military exercises will include joint-patrols of the two countries’ border guards and a series of military as well as cultural exchange events at the Yen Khoai Village in the Loc Binh District of Lang Son Province. The events are designed to consolidate friendship and solidarity between the two nation’s Defence Ministries and border security forces with aims of nurturing a borderline of peace, friendship and stability.
