Vietnam Airlines to reduce flights to Europe

Vietnam has already suspended visa-free travel for eight European countries amid the complicated Covid-19 outbreak including Denmark, Norwegian, Finland, Sweden, Germany, Spain, France and the UK.

Vietnam Airlines is the only carrier with direct flights to Europe. From March 25, Vietnam Airlines will reduce Vietnam-EU flights by a total of 14 flights a day. The routes that will have decreased flights are Hanoi, HCM City to and from London, Paris and Frankfurt. The flights will be restored after the outbreak is controlled.

All passengers from the EU will have their body temperature checked before boarding and be given face masks.

They will disinfect all planes returning to Vietnam on international flights. For domestic flights, Vietnam Airlines will also disinfect the most-touched places after landing with Chloramine B. Passengers are advised to limit moving around or socialising during flights.
