The airline announced that it would delay two Wednesday evening flights from Hanoi and HCM City to Frankfurt until Thursday evening. Similarly, two Thursday afternoon flights from Frankfurt to Hanoi and HCM City will now depart on Friday afternoon.
The carrier expressed deep regret over the need to change its flight schedule because of the strike at Frankfurt Airport. The airline has committed to supporting affected passengers in accordance with current regulations.
Vietnam Airlines also advised passengers planning to travel via Frankfurt Airport during this period to regularly check flight details to receive support if necessary.
Reuters reported that Germany's busiest airport in Frankfurt would close to passengers with planned departures on March 7 due to a security staff strike organised by Germany's Verdi union.
