Minister of Transport Dinh La Thang had to cancel an event to come to the airport to oversee the urgent landing. The flight landed safely at the airport at 10:30 am, some minutes behind the schedule.
The Airbus A321 with the registration code VN601 was put into operation in 2013, with its latest maintenance recently on October 19, 2015.
