US Secretary of State to join presidential visit

US Secretary of State John Kerry will accompany President Obama on his trip to Vietnam from May 23 to May 25.

Secretary Kerry will attend several meetings to discuss increased co-operation between the two countries in trade,culture, human rights, defence and global and regional issues.

Kerry will meet various members of the public, the Young Southeast Asian Leadership Initiative, entrepreneurs and the business community. During meetings in both Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City discussions will focus on the possible implementation of the Trans-Pacific Partnership this year.
