The pieces of unexploded ordnance have been discovered in Quang Tri

The first hole contained nearly 400 explosive items, while the remainder was detected at the second hole just 15 metres further away.

Up to 900 grenades accounted for the most out of the objects.

With support from the Mines Advisory Group, local authorities defused a number of the materials which posed a high risk of explosion on the spot while the remainder were transported to an area in Trieu Son Commune to await disposal.
