By 10 am on Sunday, the typhoon would be 160 kilomtres to the east of Vietnam’s Thua Thien-Hue and Danang coastlines. It has been predicted to directly hit central provinces from Quang Tri to Quang Ngai from September 13.

However, due to the impact of the tropical convergence, central provinces from Quang Tri to Quang Ngai would start facing rain from this evening. The rainfall would reach 350mm in some areas.

On September 12-14, provinces from Thanh Hoa to Quang Binh would experience heavy rains with the high rainfall to be recorded in Quang Binh and Ha Tinh provinces.

According to Hoang Phuc Lam, deputy director of the National Centre for Hydrometeorology Forecasting, typhoon Conson has been set to take a complex path, so people should frequently check information on its development.

The National Centre of Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting reported that there would be six to eight more typhoons or tropical depressions in the East Sea this year, including two to four typhoons/tropical depressions directly affecting the mainland.
