Officers seized more than 1,200 pairs of finished sandals, along with large quantities of soles, straps, size stamps, cutting molds, brand engraving tools, a desktop computer and various machines and equipment used in the manufacturing process.

According to initial statements, the store owner admitted that the counterfeit sandal operation had been running since March 2025.

The business allegedly used social media platforms to post advertisements and promotional videos and sell products to consumers. The counterfeit items were reportedly sold at prices ranging from VND 600,000 to VND 2.2 million.

Authorities estimated the total value of the seized goods, machinery and production materials at approximately VND 2 billion (approximately USD 77,000).

Of that amount, the 1,200 counterfeit pairs of sandals alone had a retail value of around VND 1.8 billion (approximately USD 69,000), while equivalent genuine products would be worth about VND 18 billion (approximately USD 693,000).

At a second store, identified as T.H. Luxury, investigators seized more than 3,000 counterfeit fashion items, including clothing, handbags and caps carrying the trademarks of the same international luxury brands.

The total listed retail value of the seized merchandise was estimated at VND 1.9 billion (approximately USD 73,000). Comparable authentic products would be worth about VND 14 billion (approximately USD 539,000).

During questioning, the owner admitted that all of the goods had been purchased from unofficial sources and lacked invoices or documentation proving their origin.

Police said the store allegedly used platforms such as Zalo, TikTok, Facebook and Shopee to advertise and sell the counterfeit products online.

Authorities are continuing their investigation and handling the case in accordance with Vietnamese law.
