Two Vietnamese students in the New South Wales State of Australia received the certificates of merit from the governor for their outstanding study record on February 28. They are Bui Trung Hieu and Tran Dang Dinh Ang, each awarded AUD1,000 in cash.
These two Vietnamese and another awardee from China not only excelled in study but also actively participated in various school activities.
Bui Trung Hieu, a student from the Macquerie high-school, said he had owed his success to a suitable arrangement of time for both study and social activity.
Tran Dang Dinh Ang, a student from the Sydney Secondary College Blackwattle Bay Campus, expressed hope that he will be qualified to major in medicine at the University of New South Wales.
