Two Vietnamese and a Thai were killed in a road accident in Thailand on May 5.
A bus carrying 15 Vietnamese, mostly born in Ha Tinh province, hit a heavy truck in Rayong province, more than 140km from Bangkok.
They were hired workers on the way from Bangkok to the eastern province of Chanthaburi, close to Cambodia, to extend their entry visas.
Two dead Vietnamese are identified as Phan Cong Dung (47 years old) and Nguyen Xuan Quoc (27 years old). Three other seriously injured Vietnamese are being treated at Wang Chan Hospital.
The number of Vietnamese labourers seeking employment in Thailand is on the rise although the two countries have not yet signed any labour cooperation agreement.
Most of them who have come to Thailand as tourists but stayed there to work on a temporary contract have to extend their entry visas for another 30 days, usually at the border gates with Cambodia, Laos or Myanmar.
