The incident occurred on the afternoon of July 26 at a rented house on To Ngoc Van Street. The two victims who were neighbours were aged five and eight.
The area where the incident happened
According to the initial information, the five-year old boy lived with his father who works as a builder. On the afternoon of the same day, the father had to go to work, so he took the son to the eight-year old boy’s house to play.
A short time after that, the eight-year old boy’s relative had to go out so he locked the door.
At around 2:30 pm, local residents found smoke from the house where the two children were in. They tried to break the door to take them to hospital. However, due to the serious smoke inhalation, the boys died right after that.
The cause of the case is under investigation.
