The man was swept away while driving a truck through a spillway of a stream in Xuan Tho Commune in Da Lat City on Wednesday. This morning, October 3, he was found deceased near Hang Cop Waterfall, approximately 10 kilometres from the spillway.

The spillway where the incident happened is roughly 20 metres long. At that time, the area experienced torrential rain, causing water from upstream to rise significantly over the spillway.
