Public workers will enjoy four consecutive days off from August 31 to September 3 for the National Day holiday this year, according to an announcement by the Ministry of Labour, War Invalids, and Social Affairs.

Individuals buying return tickets for the National Day holiday will receive a 5-percent discount on the return fare, while groups of 20 or more will enjoy a 7-percent discount on the return fare.
For the HCM City-Hanoi route, tickets are now on sale for trains SE1/SE2, SE3/SE4, SE5/SE6 and SE7/SE8. For the Hanoi-Danang route, tickets are being sold for trains SE19/SE20.
Meanwhile, tickets are available for trains NA1/NA2 on the Hanoi-Vinh route; trains SP3/SP4 on the Hanoi-Lao Cai route and HP1/HP2, LP2/LP3, LP5/LP6 and LP7/LP8 on the Hanoi-Haiphong route.
In the southern region, tickets are on sale for trains SE21/SE22 on the HCM City-Danang route; trains SNT1/SNT2 on the HCM City-Nha Trang route and trains SPT1/SPT2 on the HCM City-Phan Thiet route.
The railway sector has continued to offer discounts to social policy beneficiaries, including Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, war invalids, people exposed to Agent Orange, the disabled, the elderly, children and students.
Between August 19 and late this year, except for the National Day holiday, many promotional programmes will be launched for trains with the highest discount rate of up to 15 percent.
During the National Day holiday, the railway sector will run more trains, including those from Hanoi to Thanh Hoa, Vinh, Quang Binh and Haiphong, and those from HCM City to Phan Thiet, Nha Trang, Quy Nhon, Hanoi and Quang Ngai.
