Toyo Ink gets nod from Hanoi for plant

Toyo Ink Group Bhd (TIGB) says the Vietnamese government has given it permission to build a coal-fired thermo-electric plant in Tra Vinh Province.

Malaysia's Toyo Ink Group Bhd (TIGB) says the Vietnamese government has given it permission to build a coal-fired thermo-electric plant at Duyen Hai 3, Tra Vinh Province, Vietnam.

The firm told Bursa Malaysia Bhd yesterday that the Tra Vinh Province People’s Committee, via its letter said that Vietnam’s Ministry of Industry and Trade had unanimously agreed on the plan on basis of self-supporting sources of imported coal.

Tra Vinh Province People’s Committee proposes TIGB to make further researches on and accounts for electricity selling price applicable to supply power to network of the national grid of Vietnam, making favourable conditions for leaders of the Province to refer the project to the Prime Minister for investment permit.
