Snow has been appearing at Mau Son Mountain since early January 8 as the temperature fell to below one degree centigrade.
On Friday afternoon, more people came to the area, causing the serious traffic congestion for kilometres.
Snow covers the area which is some one kilometre from the top of Mau Son Mountain
Nguyen Van Tu from Lang Son Province said that every winter when the temperature drops to a mini degree centigrade, he comes to Mau Son Mountain to see snow.
At 5:pm on Friday, the temperature at Mau Son Mountain was just zero degree centigrade.
Traffic police force focused on controlling traffic
Located at the high mountainous areas, Mau Son often records the lowest temperature in Vietnam.
On January 1, the area also faced frost.
