"We sent a rescue team to the area and safely moved 25 tourists from a nearby campsite down," Khuong said. "The fire was brought under control by midnight."
Authorities are investigating the cause of the fire.
Co Tien Mountain is about 400 metres high with three peaks. It is a popular tourist site for camping and mountain climbing and provides an overview of Nha Trang City.
