The Ha Tinh Military Command said on October 3 that it had coordinated with relevant forces to safely detonate two war-era bombs without injury or damage to equipment.

On October 1, residents discovered a bomb exposed by soil erosion after heavy rain in Chu Le Village, Huong Pho Commune.
Authorities identified it as an MK-82 500lb bomb measuring 1.54 metres long and 27.4cm in diameter and weighing about 227kg.
The other bomb was discovered on September 23 during land clearance on a wooded hillside in Thuong Long Village, Duc Tho Commune. It was also an MK-82 bomb left over from the war.
Both bombs were subsequently handled and detonated in a controlled operation, ensuring safety for local residents and personnel.
