Three people were killed and two others injured after a passenger bus crashed into a market in the central highlands province of Gia Lai on Saturday morning.

Three people were killed and two others injured after a passenger bus crashed into a market in Gia Lai Province on August 3.
Deputy head of Gia Lai Provincial Board of Traffic Safety, Le Van Hanh, said that the bus driver, Nguyen Van Nhat, 40, lost control after trying to avoid a person who was crossing the road.
"The driver explained that he had to brake suddenly and the slippery road made it hard to control the bus properly," Hanh said.

A witness said that the accident happened so quickly that many people didn't have enough time to run away.
"It looked like the bus driver had lost control and caused the accident," a witness said.
Police said that three local people were killed including Phan Thi Hoa, 58, Phan Van Thai, 44, and Pham Thi Sinh Chau, 58. Two other locals were injured and have been taken to hospital.
