A female drunk driver in the Central Highlands province of Lam Dong drove a taxi which crashed into a motorbike and then into trees, killing three and injuring four others.

The incident happened in Lien Nghia Town, Duc Trong District on the evening of January 1 as the taxi driven by Pham Thuc Han, 23, collided with a motorbike controlled by Nguyen Van Huy, 30.
Lien transported a group of her five friends to return their home after attending her birthday party at a local restaurant.
Right after that, the taxi continued to run into nearby trees. As a result, Le Van Cuong, 23; Le Kim Thanh Tuan, 30, and Nguyen Xuan Phi, 39 died on the spot. Meanwhile, Han and two friends and the motorbike driver were severely injured.
The police reported that Han’s blood alcohol content was measured at a quite high rate of 1,108 mg per litre of breath. The taxi black box indicated that she had driven at 107 kilometres per hour.
