The three fishermen are from fishing boat 97469 TS, one of the two, sank due to Storm Molave on October 27. They were saved by a Hong Kong ship on October 29 and were then handed over to Vietnamese authorities.

On Tuesday, the three were taken to Cam Ranh Port.
Fishermen Huynh Xuan Phi, said that on October 27, while on the way to the shore for the storm shelter, the boat faced a technical problem. Amid the rough sea, the boat quickly filled with water and sank. All fishermen tried to hang on to pieces of wood and gas cylinders for survival. They were so hungry that they even ate foam boxes.
Only three of the 14 people on the boat have been saved, while the others have been swept away by waves.
Meanwhile, 23 other fishermen from fishing boats 96388-TS and 97469-TS of Binh Dinh Province remain unaccounted for.
