A ceremony offering Tet or cylindrical glutinous rice cakes to the Hung Kings took place on January 31 morning, or the 28th of the lunar month of December, in Ho Chi Minh City’s District 9.
Local leaders and thousands of residents from the city and neighboring provinces gathered to pay homage to Hung Kings, the legendary founders of the country.
After homage rituals, thousands entered the temple to light up incense and wish for a prosperous New Lunar Year.
Besides, the same rituals were organised at the Ho Chi Minh Museum and Ton Duc Thanh Museum in the city.
