On June 23, the Tay Ninh People's Committee said that, as part of a working visit to Belgium, it had joined the Vietnamese Embassy in Belgium to organise the Tay Ninh Investment Promotion Conference in Brussels on June 19.
Speaking at the event, Tay Ninh Party Secretary Nguyen Van Quyet highlighted the strong traditional relationship between Vietnam and Belgium, noting that the EU-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA) was creating new opportunities for businesses on both sides to expand investment and trade while integrating more deeply into global value chains.
Quyet said Tay Ninh's economy was valued at more than USD 14 billion, placing it among Vietnam's 10 largest local economies. The province also holds a strategic position linking Ho Chi Minh City with several ASEAN countries.

Provincial leaders said Tay Ninh aims to become a trusted partner of the Belgian business community, particularly in circular economy projects, clean energy, environmental technology, biotechnology and advanced agriculture. The province pledged to create favourable conditions for Belgian investors seeking long-term cooperation and development opportunities.

Vietnamese Ambassador Nguyen Van Thao described Tay Ninh as a locality well positioned to attract a new wave of European investment thanks to its strategic location. He said that, as the EVFTA continues to deliver benefits, many Belgian companies are showing interest in expanding cooperation in Vietnam, particularly in logistics, green industry, high-tech agriculture and sustainable development.

Introducing the province's investment environment, Vice Chairman of the Tay Ninh People's Committee Huynh Van Son said the province currently hosts more than 2,000 active investment projects with total registered capital of around USD 26 billion, ranking among Vietnam's leading destinations for foreign direct investment.
According to provincial authorities, Tay Ninh was recently recognised among the three best-performing localities in Vietnam for reform achievements during the 20-year journey of the Provincial Competitiveness Index (PCI) from 2005 to 2025. The recognition reflects the province's efforts to support investors and improve the business environment.
The conference also witnessed the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the Association of Vietnamese Intellectuals in Belgium and Luxembourg and Tay Ninh Province. The agreement aims to strengthen links between overseas Vietnamese experts and the province in scientific research, innovation and the development of a highly skilled workforce.
A key highlight of the event was the presentation of an investment registration certificate for the Be Milk dairy manufacturing plant, developed by Swiss Asia Partner at Prodezi Industrial Park in Luong Hoa Commune. The project has a total investment of more than USD 100 million.
