According to the National Centre for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, on December 22-24, northern localities will continue maintaining the temperature of 25-27 degrees centigrade during the daytime and 14-17 degrees centigrade at night.

A strong cold spell has been forecasted to sweep through the northern and northern central regions of Vietnam this week
From December 25, the colder weather would start affecting the northern region with rain and a sharp fall in temperature to 10-17 degrees centigrade on December 26-27.
The temperature in some mountainous areas would drop to 4-7 or even below degrees centigrade.
Nguyen Van Huong, head of the Weather Forecasting Department under the National Centre for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, said that this would be the first widespread cold wave in the northern and northern central regions of Vietnam this winter.
Since early November, several strong cold waves have happened, but mostly in mountainous and midland areas.
Meanwhile, the Central Highlands and southern localities would see rains on December 22-23 and December 27-31.
