Strong wind and heavy rains are reported in Nha Trang City on November 10.


At around 4 am this morning, November 10, the storm reached coastal areas from Binh Dinh-Ninh Thuan provinces, with the strongest wind power near its eye of between 75-90 kilometre per hour, the centre said.

In the next 12 hours, the storm would move west at the speed of 10-15 kilometre per hour. It will make landfall in some provinces from Binh Dinh to Ninh Thuan before weakening into a tropical depression.

The storm, the 12th of its kind to affect Vietnam this year, is forecasted to cause heavy rains in many central and southern central provinces from Quang Tri to Khanh Hoa from today until November 12 with average rainfall of between 200-400mm.


Early this morning, strong winds were reported in Ly Son Island in Quang Ngai Province. Provinces from Thua Thien Hue to Khanh Hoa saw rainfalls of between 50-150mm from 7pm on November 9 to 4am on November 10.
