Field Hospital 12 is now home to 2,200 Covid-19 patients, including 60 children aged below 15. Thanks to donors’ support, the hospital organised the Mid-Autumn festival for patients. Sixty gifts with toys, cakes and sweets were given to children.
The children were eager for the festival.
Tan Bao Linh and her younger brother Tan Bao Kha received the gifts from doctors. "We’re very happy to receive the presents. This is the most special Mid-Autumn festival for us to date,” Bao Linh said.
Doctor Pham Dang Trong Tuong, deputy director of the hospital, said that many children had to experience Covid-19 symptoms such as fever and tiredness. The gifts are expected to help bring them joy.
The hospital’s medical workers wore protective clothes with words about the Mid-Autumn Festival written on them.
The festival started at 7 pm at the hospital’s yard.
Doctor Nguyen Thi Kim Cuc said that this was also an occasion to bring medical staff at the hospital closer. They are from different localities to assist the city’s Covid-19 fight.
